Why not adapt the themes to Firefox for Thunderbird?
In order to have the same style for the two software?
For example Revelation would be nice to have both Firefox and for Thunderbird.
is this possible?
Thank you

I have done several Thunderbird themes in the past. I may update them and do some new ones but I am focusing on the Firefox themes right now. I haven't ruled it out though.

Brett.............if someday........you do decide to get around to Thunderbird, I would like to give you some ideas. I used to use the old AOL Communicator and when it went away, I still liked some of its functionality regarding the Windows taskbar. Thunderbird never got it quite right. There is a program called Foxmail, developed in China that gives back a lot of that old AOL Communicator functionality. For instance, it shows an icon when mail is available, it also stays in the taskbar until you have actually opened the mail!!!
For many of us that go away and come back, to be reminded that there is still mail to be opened, etc sure does come in handy.
If you ever tackle Thunderbird again, I could send you screen shots of this Foxmail that I have used to about 4 years now.

Brett - would just like to back DMD61's suggestions for extending your outstanding FF themes to Thunderbird (as if you aren't doing enough for your fans already !!)
Like a lot of people I have spent countless hours on the web in times past looking for decent, high quality FF themes and I don't have to bother now, of course, because your themes hit the sweet spot everytime. It would be fantastic, therefore, if you could ever squeeze in the time to adapt them for TBird and I'm sure that everyone who knows and appreciates your work would be forever grateful.

Hi Brett, I like your designs for FF a lot. Unfortunately I can't find any equivalent for Thunderbird. I really beg for an adaption of your FF-Themes to TB 3.x - and I think thousands of other TB-users, too.

I am still debating on whether or not I want to do the Thunderbird themes. I used to make the matching theme for TB but it it requires a lot of extra icons which takes a lot of time. I am not completely ruling it out but that is on hold for the time being. I may do a couple of my more popular ones.

I'd like to voice my desire for Thunderbird themes also. Or at least an Aquatint Black theme to match Firefox.
I've been using the Aquatint Black Gloss Premium themes for a long time. I'd paid for them back when you were asking for donations.
I like the way they look and I like the consistent visual presentation between the two programs. It is less jarring as I switch back and forth all day long.
I understand you don't want to do too many icons, so I'd recommend only skinning the 8 I use. Thanks for all the work, past and future.

Hi Brett. I started looking through available themes and found (and liked) Aquatint Black for Firefox, so I immediately looked for a Thunderbird version. I found the old Thunderbird Aquabird Black theme for the 2.x version, but not for Thunderbird 3.x. No matching version? Like a lot of folks, I always have Thunderbird open at the same time as Firefox, and it looks terrible with both apps looking different. I would gladly pay/donate to have matching versions of this theme available. Undoubtedly, others would too. PLEASE bring it up to version 3 level, or better yet, I suppose I should ask if a version Thuinderbird is close to release?

Right now I am just focusing on Firefox and Flock themes. I haven't ruled out updating my Thunderbird themes but I don't have any plans in the immediate future.

Thanks for the reply Brett, though I hoped for better news. :-) Thunderbird is important to me because I actually use it much more than Firefox these days. Now that Lightning has matured, it's the only contact manager that I use, and of course I need access to my mail full time. I have it open all day at work, and pretty much the same at home.
I found a Thunderbird 3 theme named Nuvola. It's a beautiful theme, but not a dark theme. I'm going to try some graphics magic to darken it, and hopefully produce a theme that will match up well with Aquatint. If that doesn't work well, I'll just use Nuvola as a FF & TB matched pair. Actually, I never really thought much of dark themes, but I stumbled across yours, and quite liked it. :-)
I'll check back once in a while to see if you've ruled Thunderbird back in.

I have had a lot of requests for updates to Thunderbird 3 and I will likely update a few of my themes. I haven't done a Thunderbird theme since TB 2 was released but I will see what I can do. I am in the process of updating my website and making some other changes but hopefully over the next 2 or 3 weeks I can have something ready to release.

I agree that it would be awesome to have the Firefox themes for Thunderbird also. I can understand Brett's reservation though considering the extra work. Im curious, how exactly are the theme files for FF and TB different? It sounds like TB is a bit more complicated.
